The very successful major external works project to Block B was completed at the beginning of 2020. This was just before the first Covid 19 pandemic lockdown .

We were due to start on the external works to Block A in 2020 but decided to postpone work because of the many uncertainties of the pandemic. Work in fact has recently started, February 2021, and it is hoped will be completed in September.

Planning for the internal refurbishments began March 2021. This will include the repair and redecoration of the common parts of both blocks, including improving the lighting and fire alarm systems. It is hoped that this work will start early 2022. Members will be consulted on design details but exactly how and when this will take place is yet to be decided though it is likely to be in the summer.

The third project that is in an early planning stage is the repair of the car park, some hard landscaping and perimeter work and enhanced lighting. An electric car charging system is also being considered.

The draft new lease and an accompanying letter from the Board were sent to members March 2021. Members have until the end of April to comment and will also have an opportunity to discuss the proposed new 999 year lease at a future meeting. Date to be confirmed.

The Pryors Community Whats App initiative has been a big success offering support for neighbours over these challenging months. New members and those renting are welcomed.

Nuno Neve has recently been appointed to the role of Assistant Caretaker and is working alongside Lee Mullan our Senior Caretaker.

The beautiful Pryors garden has become a welcome venue for residents to meet up with family and friends as lockdown rules relax a bit.

The 2021 AGM will be held on Wednesday 8th September at 19.00. Pending government guidance a decision whether to hold an in person or on-line meeting will be taken nearer the time.

    Fire Safety Measures

Considerable work was undertaken to update fire safety in both blocks and this work has been completed and approved by the London Fire Brigade.
